I'd been a fan of Kris's work for quite a while, so when he asked if I were available to score his film, I jumped at the chance. Kris has an energy and a sense of humor that you simply can't find anywhere else. Plus, nobody had ever hired me to write a theme in 80s chic, and I'd basically been waiting for someone to ask. I was thrilled when Kris requested Synthwave.
I was lucky to get to help shoot for a day. It was my birthday, actually. I hadn't planned anything else for the day, so my kid sister and I spent the day filming war scenes dressed-up like thugs from a Mad Max movie. I can't think of a better way to spend a birthday. We went roller skating afterwards. And drank shots.
Sisters rule. If you don't have one, get one.
